The Social Justice Now Film Festival (SJNFF) is a global showcase of content that confronts the social and economic issues facing the United States’ black and brown communities. Through a curated film program, community conversations and impact events, we aim to rally a coalition committed to amplifying the voices of the marginalized and creating real and lasting social and political change. The first annual event will take place online from October 21st through October 25th, leading up to the 2020 election.

The SJNFF program will include narrative and documentary features, short films, and new media projects with correlating discussions on topics such as police brutality, criminal justice reform, income disparity and voter reform led by the preeminent voices in their respective spaces through our coalition of partner organizations.

The festival is the signature initiative of the Film Life Foundation, an LA based nonprofit organization founded by American Black Film Festival creators Jeff and Nicole Friday. Michael B. Jordan and Black Lives Matter Co-Founder Opal Tometi will serve as Co-Ambassadors for this year’s Social Justice Now Film Festival.
